The General Assembly of the ICU4COVID project was held in Aachen, Germany. During this meeting, CLINOMIC performed several demonstrations of the telemedicine system in Aachen and the other technological solutions available for Intensive Care Units (ICUs). During the meeting the various project partners were presented. Their objectives, the activities developed during the first 7 months of the project and the next developments and areas of intervention until the end of the project were also described. This telemedicine system was successfully used in Germany in the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, ensuring the effective diagnosis and treatment of patients with Covid-19 while also significantly reducing the risk of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection in ICUs. The ICU4COVID project will install and test this technological and organizational infrastructure in several ICU Hubs in Europe, the Autonomous Region of Madeira included, providing an innovative solution to the Regional Health Service and its respective patients in the field of new technologies in intensive care procedures.
