The Initiative at a Glance

Madeira Digital Health and Wellbeing is a collaborative initiative that seeks to promote the application of digital technologies to health and wellbeing. The scope of the initiative goes way beyond dissemination of research results but also encompasses technology demonstration and deployment as a real mean to facilitate engagement and enrolment in the region of Madeira. The initiative intends to work as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing establishing links with the regional stakeholders and contributing for building up a strong and engaged community of citizens, healthcare professionals and technology providers.

Exhibition

Our exhibition (stand at Praça do Povo) serves as the main point of contact with the population. There you can participate in live demonstrations, clarify doubts and join our community.

Clinical Activities

We offer services in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of back pain, in monitoring the health of the elderly, telemedicine, amongst others. Always with the support of qualified healthcare professionals.

Scientific Development and Employment

We offer professionals, researchers and scientists from various fields, with special focus on health and wellbeing and associated technologies, the opportunity to collaborate in activities and/or to join our team.

Training and Education

We work towards increasing the digital literacy of the population, through practical sessions, experimentation, tutorials, discussion forums and a helpdesk dedicated to clarifying doubts and solving problems.
